We were tired of the "sunscreen wrestle" but couldn't find protective clothing that didn't look like a swim rashie or a technical hiking shirt. So, we made Eascaper: UPF 50+ bamboo-cotton quarter zip hoodies and collared tops that handle the heavy lifting for the arms and torso — so you only have to focus on the rest.

The "Why": Ending the Sunscreen Struggle

If you’re a parent, you know the drill. You want your kids safe but you also have a house to run and a finite amount of patience. We love the backyard chaos and the beach trips — what we don’t love is the constant anxiety of sun exposure.

Applying lotion to a child wriggling like a slippery octopus is a sport we didn’t train for. We created Eascaper to:

  • Reduce the surface area you have to cream.

  • Create a "safety net" for the shoulders and back.

  • Lower the mental load of every outdoor adventure.

 

The Problem: "Why does my kid look like they’re catching a marlin?"

When we looked for everyday protection, we hit a wall. Most gear fell into two categories:

  1. The Swim Rashie: Great for the pool, weird for a café brunch.

  2. The Fishing Shirt: Scratchy, covered in pockets and out of place at the playground.

We wanted our kids to look like they were wearing regular clothes. We wanted a solution for the "actual" everyday — the cloudy-but-burny days, the park pit stops and the transition from the car to the shops.

Our Eascaper tops are made with UPF 50+ fabric tested to AS/NZS 4399:2017. The ARPANSA UPF 50+ rating is for the fabric only. Remember, clothing only protects the skin it covers! Always use a combination of sun protection measures (hat, sunscreen, and shade) for full protection.
